Course Description: This course is designed to assist the teacher in training in developing an in-depth understanding of Reading Recovery® practices in order to administer, score, and interpret the observation Survey and apply that data in the selection of the Reading Recovery® students in compliance with the Reading Recovery® standards and guidelines.

Enrollment is restricted to teachers who have earned a bachelor's degree, hold a valid teaching certificate, have three years teaching experience in the primary grades (preferred), and agree to complete the graduate work. This course is required for certification in Reading Recovery®. Teachers enrolled for Observation Survey Assessment have done so in agreement with their school districts to help administer the Observation Survey for contract specifications for each succeeding year.
