Description:
This course is designed for dental assistants who are seeking radiology certification. In this course, you will learn the skills required to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This course includes both didactic lectures and a hands-on portion.


Objectives:
1. Identify the risks and complications of LA; How to minimize them and respond to them.
2. Recognize how to select an appropriate anesthetic based on the patient’s physical and psychological evaluation and individual needs.
3. Review supplemental injection techniques and future trends in pain control.
4. Practice delivering anesthetic safely, comfortably and successfully.

Refund Policy

Lectures and Webinars:

A full refund will be given if you cancel at least one week (five working days) before the program. If you cancel less than one week prior to the program, a $50 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.


Participation/Certification Programs:
A full refund will be issued if you cancel at least one month (30 total days) before the first program session. If you cancel less than 30 days prior to the program, a late-cancellation fee of $100 will be deducted from your refund.

Home Study/On-Demand Courses:

There are no refunds for home study or online courses once you have registered. Please review the course details before making the non-refundable registration payment.

Beverly Kennedy, RDH, MA, Emeritus

Beverly taught at USD Dental Hygiene for 42 years, retiring in 2017. During that time, she taught radiology, medical-dental emergencies, pharmacology and was also in clinic. Since then, she has filled in at the department and provided dental hygiene treatment at Mike Durfee State Penitentiary. Through USD, Beverly designed and provided radiology certification for assistants since its inception in 1985. She has presented numerous CE courses on a variety of topics throughout her career. She remains an AHA BLS Instructor. Beverly has been an active hygienist since 1972 practicing dental hygiene in general dentistry and education settings.
