The course will involve lecture and discussion of bird vocalizations. I'll provide a 1-hr lecture the first week, then we'll go on a 3- to 4-hour field trip in the local area to put our listening skills into practice and to gain an appreciation for the variety of birds to be found in southeastern South Dakota.
