Between 2022 and 2024, excavations were carried out at 39MD45, commonly known as "Soap Suds Row." These excavations uncovered numerous domestic artifacts from the late 1800s to early 1900s, providing valuable insights into the commerce, trade, foodways, and subsistence practices of the residents of Soap Suds Row at Fort Meade.
