This course will teach a method for combining statistical analysis (using data and math to identify patterns) and geospatial modeling (using geographic data and mapping techniques) to create systems that can predict floods in advance. The course will specifically focus on how this method was applied to predict and respond to the flooding in South Sudan in 2024.
